Chapter 23 Master's condition
Lu Yifeng was immediately brought to the emergency room by the time he arrived in the hospital.
Xia Meiren and some of the men who brought their boss to the hospital stood waiting outside.
Her heart was racing as she was nervous and worried for Lu Yifeng. After seeing the slashes on his body when she tore off his shirt and applied pressure to stop the bleeding, she was really surprised. Was he recently attacked?
If he was injured, why would he come out and accompany her and Little Melon? He could have find some reasons to avoid Little Melon's request.
He was carrying Little Melon around since yesterday and the boy would hug his body from time to time, how can he withstand the pain from his wounds? It was a good thing that Little Melon was not a naughty child while he was being carried or else, Lu Yifeng's wounds would open.

While in the middle of the surgery, Lu Yifeng's assistant, Su Lei came with the set of clothes for Xia Meiren.
While Xia Meiren went to wash herself and change into the new clothes, Su Lei turned to Zhao Long Ji.
"How is master's condition?" He asked.
"Aside from the blood loss from his previous injuries, he's fine. He didn't get any new injuries thanks to Ms. Xia Meiren's help. The doctors are stitching his wounds close." Zhao Long Ji reported.
"Ms. Xia helped master?" Su Lei furrowed his brows. "A weak looking girl like her?"
"Yes. Although I wasn't able to see it myself, the bullets in master's gun wasn't reduced. He didn't shoot those men. The only other person that was in that place was Madam." Even if Zhao Long Ji didn't want to believe it, this fact was their only evidence. Besides, the gun Xia Meiren was holding only has one bullet left, if it wasn't her then who else could it be?
